Bronx-born and raised(except for a teenage stint in the Inwood section of Manhattan), I have been taking photographs since the age of seven. I was gifted a late 1960s Kodak Instamatic Camera and never looked back.
After graduating from the High School of Art & Design, I was accepted into Pratt Institute, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design. Over the years, I made many career twists and turns, but I never abandoned my love of photography. I always believed that my background in fine arts allowed me to see color, light and composition differently than most others would. I’m greatly influenced by Edward Hopper; his paintings provoke questions and invites viewers to uncover hidden stories. This is what I strive to accomplish in my work. I enjoy landscape, cityscape, travel, and night photography. I especially love to dabble in urbex photography.
Two years ago, a dear friend convinced me to submit an image to a local silent auction. When it sold, I decided to finally bring my images out of the shadows and into the public eye.
I’ve upgraded my equipment a few times over the years, and these days, I’m quite content with my little mirrorless camera. Now that I’m semi-retired, I can devote more time to doing what I love, and hopefully touch you all with that love…of story-telling.
